Me at a cafe

I’m an applied mathematician at UC Berkeley advised by Michael Lindsey. I’m interested in tensor networks, tensor trains, and generally all things tensor. I have a slow but ongoing project to implement Coppersmith-Winograd from scratch.

I’m also interested in mathematics education. I love to think about course design, assessment structure, really anything that can provide an alternative to the lecture-homework-midterm-final paradigm. As part of that, I help run the Directed Reading Program in the math department.

When I’m not doing math, I like to volunteer, currently with the Boy Scouts, with Veritas Graduate Christian Fellowship, and with Mount Tamalpais College.
